Program Planning
Focusing on the development of the Sixth Form, we will develop a positive attitude towards learning, understanding and thinking in an enjoyable way; foster creativity and cooperation; and build up a positive attitude towards life.
We adopt the activity approach to teaching and learning and design an integrated curriculum based on themes. Through a variety of activities such as games, visits and field exploration, children's learning experiences are broadened and their potentials expanded. The design of the curriculum is comprehensive, taking into account the fun and exploratory nature of the teaching themes, and is organized according to the learning abilities, interests and experiences of the children.
A variety of assessment modes, such as assessment checklists, practical work and continuous observation, are used to record children's learning effectiveness, thereby fostering children's positive and active learning spirit.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
School Mission and Vision
In the spirit of Christ, we provide quality whole-person education to enable children to have comprehensive and balanced development in the areas of spirituality, morality, intellectuality, physicality, social skills, and aesthetics, and to cultivate a fruitful life through the proclamation of the Gospel.
School Features
In order to build up children's sense of security, their ability to learn and their open and positive attitudes, we have set up a special adaptation arrangement for new students so as to cultivate a love for school life and achieve a smooth transition between primary and secondary school in the long run. We make good use of the resources provided by tertiary institutions and professional organizations to support children's learning and physical and mental development. We work closely with the church to ensure that the children's faith and spirituality are nurtured.
Encourage the participation of NCS parent volunteers to enhance communication between schools and parents; and build an inclusive campus to promote student integration.
Participation in pre-school rehabilitation services is ongoing. There is a resident social worker who runs a support group to cater for the uniqueness of the children and provides support to the children through a multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain close communication with parents through parent-child activities, volunteer activities, announcements, classroom observations, school newsletters and parent-teacher conferences, etc., so that parents are familiar with the school's activities, the latest developments, and understand their children's learning, in order to promote parent-child relationships and achieve good home-school collaboration.
