Program Planning
With reference to the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines of the Education Bureau, the curriculum is organized according to the characteristics of children's growth and development, enabling children to learn through life experiences, sensory exposure and fun activities, and to develop creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills. The curriculum is designed to be child-centered, emphasizing active learning, and is based on a thematic teaching model, which is complemented by thematic studies, SCOLAR English teaching, new thinking math activities, and picture book and drama activities. We provide an interesting and life-like language environment for the children to have a balanced development in a natural atmosphere.
We emphasize the development of multiple intelligences, character education and life education, and create a learning environment for children. In addition to the thematic integrated activity teaching method, we also provide whole language and project learning teaching methods, etc. Through teacher-student interaction and home-school cooperation, we jointly explore the learning journey of young children. Individualized teaching, small group teaching, and large class teaching are designed to take care of children's development and individual differences, and to meet children's interests and developmental needs. The language of learning is primarily mother tongue, supplemented by English and Putonghua. In addition to helping the children to have a good language foundation, we also nurture their love of learning English and Putonghua from a young age.
Continuous observation of children's developmental progress and learning performance, including manipulation of teaching aids and participation in the classroom learning corner, as well as the creation of a "Child Development File" for each child, and the submission of reports to parents on a regular basis, help parents to understand the overall performance of their children.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
