Program Planning
In accordance with the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guidelines" and in line with the development and needs of children, a school-based Chinese and English language curriculum is developed; emphasis is placed on character development, helping children to understand themselves, cultivate correct values from an early age, build up a good character, and enhance children's motivation to learn; the Kindergarten and Upper Secondary Classes have implemented the Hong Kong University of Education's "Bibi and Friends" Emotional Health Curriculum, which aims to enhance children's Emotional Intelligence quotient (EIQ); the classroom teacher is a professional expatriate teacher who teaches English as the medium of instruction, with the use of information technology to enhance the biliterate and trilingual abilities of children. English, Cantonese and Putonghua are used as the mediums of instruction. The English curriculum is taught by professional foreign teachers and is complemented by the use of information technology to enhance the children's ability to learn biliteracy and trilingualism.
Theme-based learning and child-designed activities are used to guide children to learn through play. Regular participation in community activities, outdoor learning and visits broaden children's horizons and stimulate their motivation to learn and explore;
Uniformed team training and diversified interest activities, such as Taekwondo, English drama classes, etc.; Adoption of the "Toy Library CPM" learning aids, according to individual differences in play, learning, and promote the development of academic skills.
Teachers, parents, and children participate in the program. Through continuous observation of children's performance, records, interviews, and analyses are made to understand the learning progress, and individual learning profiles are created.
School Mission and Vision
A child is brought up to walk in the way he should walk, and he will not stray from it even when he grows old. We firmly believe that every child is a unique individual. Therefore, we create a natural, pleasant and diversified teaching environment that inspires children to take the initiative to construct knowledge based on their existing experiences and abilities, and promotes the balanced development of children's physical, intellectual, linguistic, social, emotional and aesthetic senses.
We are a member of the International Alliance for Inspired Initiative Education (IAIE), aiming to design our campus as a desirable school and to inspire the potential of our children. In 2019, we were awarded the "International Academy for Inspired Initiative Schools Level 2 Educational Achievement Award". In 2020, it will be awarded the "Hong Kong's Most Outstanding Educational Service Award".
