Program Planning
Our kindergarten follows the Education Bureau's Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines "Play and Learn for a Good Start, Balanced Development and Happy Growth" to set the educational direction and objectives. We use picture books as the medium, integrate various learning areas, design various kinds of games to inspire children's learning, induce children's creativity and develop multiple intelligences in the process of thinking and playing, and allow them to try and explore to solve their problems, construct new knowledge, cultivate good character and build up positive values, and nourish children's spirit through religious education. It also helps them to solve problems through experimentation and exploration, construct new knowledge, cultivate good character and establish positive values, as well as moisturize the children's minds through religious education. Through religious education, we aim to achieve balanced development of children in morality, intellect, physique, social skills, aesthetics and spirituality.
The school provides a suitable environment for children to express themselves and participate in small group lessons. The school adopts activity-based and program-based teaching, which emphasizes children's personal experience and interests, and stimulates children's thinking, self-discovery, autonomy and self-awareness as the foundation of learning. We broaden children's horizons through a variety of visits and activities. Adjustments are made according to children's learning abilities and interests.
Each learning topic is assessed by continuous observation to document the child's learning. Each child has a Child Learning Profile to document his/her kindergarten learning.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
