Program Planning
The school takes "child-centered" as the core foundation of the teaching curriculum and combines different teaching methods such as high breadth, project learning and inspirational teaching method, etc., together with the learning modes of life-oriented themes, group learning, diversified learning corners, as well as rich activities and games both inside and outside the school, etc. The school uses in-depth, lively and interesting teaching methods to induce and inspire the young children to build up their self-confidence through encouragement, affirmation and appreciation, and to cultivate their initiative, exploration, independent learning, independent thinking, creative problem solving, and enhancement of self-care ability and life skills. Through encouragement, affirmation and appreciation, we aim to build up children's self-confidence, cultivate them to be active explorers, independent learners, independent thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and to enhance their self-care and life skills; and through the love and patience of Christ, we aim to enable children to understand self-discipline and a sense of responsibility, to care for and help others, and to learn to accept and tolerate each other as well as to appreciate and respect each other. We endeavor to provide children with effective, timely and sustainable development in cognition, knowledge, language, skills, emotions, mind, character and health.
The school sets its teaching strategies and directions in a child-centered manner by introducing life-oriented themes and allowing students to actively explore through different corners of the school. The learning approach is from shallow to deep and from near to far to broaden their horizons; it also encourages students to "participate more and do more", and at the same time arranges for small science experiments and snacks to be tasted, so that students can realize the concept of "Learning by Doing". Students will be taught to participate in the collection of information and the production of resource books, to give full play to the spirit of active learning, to enhance language and social development through communication, and to strengthen life skills and techniques, so that learning is not only limited to the hardware knowledge in books, but most importantly, to "apply what they have learned", to strengthen the "original motivation" of learning, and then to "learn to learn", and to build up a good foundation for the "learning attitude", so that the "motivation" for learning can be enhanced for the future growth of the school and the "quest for knowledge and truth" can be promoted for the learning, Seeking knowledge and truth" promotes the efficacy of learning, so that students can love to learn and build up a pleasant learning experience.
Continuous observation is used to assess students' performance in the areas of cognitive and linguistic, affective and social, aesthetic, physical and moral development. Continuous assessment of teaching aids is carried out in the area of knowledge, and a Personal Growth Profile is prepared and a portfolio of art and craft work is created for students.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
