Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The program covers eight areas of study. Biliteracy and trilingualism are emphasized. Native-speaking English teachers are available at all levels. PLPRW is practiced in English from Primary 1 to Primary 3, while speaking and writing are emphasized in Primary 4 to Primary 6. Chinese is taught in Putonghua from Primary 1 to Primary 3 to enhance students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Every day, students are encouraged to build up a positive attitude towards learning by playing a game called "Building on Success" at the English vocabulary booth in the recess.

Life-wide Learning:

Multiple Intelligences classes are held on Wednesdays, with more than 30 groups of activities for students, including cycling, rope skipping, Chinese drumline, 3D paintbrush, pottery making, and more. The school also offers various service opportunities and training for uniformed teams, including Cub Scouts, Girl Guides and Flag Guides.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

To tailor the curriculum to students' needs and develop school-based learning materials to enable students to pursue learning in a systematic and diversified manner. To formulate a school-based adaptation policy to guide students' adaptation in coursework and assessment.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, Pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary in the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes/groups).
