Program Planning
The school uses picture books as the medium and games as the means to design a balanced curriculum that emphasizes on cultivating children's moral qualities and problem-solving skills, so as to promote the whole-person development of children. In addition, the school-based English curriculum is based on children's songs and stories to enhance children's interest in foreign languages.
We adopt a small group teaching mode, with theme-based activities such as picture book stories, Gospel music, Mathematics for Daily Life and problem solving activities, to ensure the balanced development of the children; and we have a weekly free play day to enrich the learning experience of the children by allowing them to take the initiative in learning. Through a wide range of school activities, children are able to consolidate what they have learned, develop character and care for the community. Out-of-school activities such as visits, trips, performances and competitions are also arranged to broaden their horizons of the world and enhance their self-confidence. Our foreign teachers and Putonghua teachers also organize daily activities to enhance the children's interest in learning foreign languages.
The school assesses children's learning through continuous daily observation records analysis, and also collects reports from parents on their children's performance at home to understand their children's performance at home, and submits reports to parents on a regular basis, so as to help parents understand their children's overall performance.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
School Mission and Vision
With the spirit of teaching without discrimination, we provide a suitable learning environment for children to meet their learning needs, to develop their potential and creativity, and to build up a positive, active and serious attitude. We aim to provide children with a holistic and balanced development in all five dimensions of education.
Our belief: "Don't ask if a child is smart, ask how we inspire wisdom in our children."
