Based on Catholic values and the principle of "Education for the Whole Person", the school endeavors to cultivate students' character and conduct of mutual love, self-respect and self-discipline through the five core values of "Truth, Righteousness, Love, Life and Family". The school is opposed to excessive materialistic pursuits. We emphasize moral education and have strict requirements on students' manners, grooming, dress, speech and behavior. The counseling team of the school provides different activities and groups to enhance students' self-confidence and cultivate a positive learning spirit. The school has a weekly Caritas social worker and a diocesan educational psychologist who visits the school regularly to provide growth and spiritual counseling to students. Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The School is committed to the implementation of integrated education and the establishment of an inclusive culture to support students with special educational needs (SEN). The School has set up a Student Support Team comprising the Deputy Principal, co-ordinating teachers, teachers of the Discipline and Guidance Section, social workers, educational psychologists, speech therapists, counselors, etc., to provide support to students with SEN, and has arranged for teachers to enroll in courses related to integrated education so as to enhance their professional competence. The school makes use of the Learning Support Grant (LSA) and other school resources to provide support for students with SEN, including the employment of IE counselors. At the same time, the school makes use of the LSA to procure services, such as social training groups, group and individual counseling, after-school learning support, etc. The school also arranges internal tests and examinations for the students. The school also arranges internal test accommodations and assists students sitting for public examinations to apply for similar accommodations so as to enhance the fairness of the examinations.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; and organizing cultural integration activities.
