School Wind:

The school has a simple school ethos, good teacher-student relationship, integration of discipline and counseling, and care for each student. A dual class teacher system is in place from Form 1 to Form 3 to strengthen the overall counseling work. Caritas social workers visit the school regularly to provide services. Psychologists are assigned by the Diocese to assist the school in analyzing the current situation and dealing with students' growth and learning problems. Parents' day/evening meetings are organized several times a year to report on the growth of students.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

S4 to S6 students are divided into 5 classes according to their abilities and small class teaching is practiced to enhance students' learning effectiveness. The school pays special attention to the training of junior secondary students in the basic knowledge of Chinese, English and Mathematics. Homework emphasizes "appropriate, appropriate amount, appropriate time" and students are encouraged to do pre-study. In order to cater for students' learning differences, the school arranges remedial courses to help students improve their academic performance. All teachers and students read extracurricular books together for 15 minutes every day after morning assembly to cultivate the habit of reading.

The Student Support Team of the School consists of the Deputy Principal, Student Development Officer, Counseling Officer, Discipline Officer, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, Resident Social Worker, Social Worker of the Integrated Education Unit, Student Counselor and Educational Psychologist. The team is responsible for coordinating and promoting the tripartite support work among students, teachers and parents, and is committed to involving the whole school in providing appropriate support for students with SEN.

At Tier 1, the school focuses on building a caring culture on campus, and takes care of the spiritual and mental health of all students through various activities. For Tier 2 support, the group provides students with training on socialization, executive skills, concentration, etc., supplemented by pet therapy, installation art and horticultural therapy to provide targeted support. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
