School-wide language policy:
The school has fully implemented mother-tongue teaching in both junior and senior secondary schools in line with the policy objective of "mother-tongue teaching, proficiency in both Chinese and English". In order to enhance the English proficiency of junior secondary students, the school has not only employed expatriate teachers, but also set up a school-based English curriculum for junior secondary students and an English enrichment class for senior secondary students in the 2022-23 school year to cater for different learning differences; at the same time, English vocabularies will be supplemented in the teaching materials of other non-language subjects to enhance the English learning environment. The school is also committed to implementing the "Biliteracy and Trilingualism" policy through activities such as the Early Reading Scheme, the Chinese and English Reading Scheme, the Chinese and English Speech Contest, the Chinese and English Tutorial Classes, the English Drama and the English Debate.

The school's ethos is simple, and students learn self-discipline and discipline by joining a uniformed team from Form 1 onwards. The school adopts the strategies of "discipline and counseling" and "home-school co-operation" to enable students to understand the importance of civic responsibility and behavioral cultivation in the course of their studies.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
The school emphasizes on learning effectiveness and provides students with diversified assignments in the form of school-based assignments, data collection and project learning. The school offers a wide range of elective subjects at senior secondary level for students with different potentials, and implements a school-based curriculum program to enhance students' learning motivation. The school has implemented a whole-school morning and early morning reading program, an extensive reading incentive program, and the establishment of classroom library corners to encourage extensive and diversified reading. The school library has a rich collection of books and provides a good reading environment for students. The school has also set up a Chinese Corner and an English Corner, where a variety of Chinese and English reading materials and multimedia teaching materials are purchased, and students are guided in reading by the Chinese and English teachers respectively. We emphasize the development of a proactive, responsive and life-long learning culture. Teachers are encouraged to pursue further studies and participate in various teaching seminars and workshops to enhance their professional knowledge and understanding of the NSS curriculum. Teacher training activities are organized every school year for all teachers to participate and to promote common professional development. Joint lesson planning time is also organized for teachers to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The School adopts a "Whole School Approach" in implementing integrated education. A Student Support Team (comprising the Principal, Vice-Principals, Co-ordinators, Chinese, English and Mathematics teachers, teaching assistants, etc.) has been set up to support students with SEN, and teachers have been arranged to enroll in relevant courses to enhance their professional competence. The school makes flexible use of the Learning Support Grant and other school resources to provide diversified support for students with SEN, including the employment of IE tutors to provide individual or small group learning counseling, individual psychological counseling, life skills and social training groups, and speech therapy services. We also take care of students' learning differences through curriculum design, diversified teaching strategies, optimized tiered assignments, homework and test accommodations. The school has two resident social workers, a speech therapist and a school-based educational psychologist, who conduct regular individual meetings and student assessments. Parents are invited to participate in meetings and workshops to develop individualized learning plans for their students and review the effectiveness of the plans on a regular basis, so as to equip parents with the skills to take care of their children and teach them effectively.
