We have established a simple school ethos that emphasizes the cultivation of character and a school culture of mutual love. Each student is given an assignment in his/her classroom, which allows him/her to utilize his/her strengths and develops his/her courageous character to serve others.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
Through diversified learning strategies, the school takes care of students' diversity and enhances their self-learning ability. Through life-wide learning, project-based learning, cross-curricular learning, weekly diversified learning activities, such as integrated mathematics activities, technology activities, physical education and arts training, etc., as well as visits, theme-based seminars and competitions, students are provided with a variety of learning experiences to develop their generic skills and creative thinking. Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to facilitate their Chinese language learning: employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/cluster learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing inclusive campus activities.
Home school cooperation:
The school has set up a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). In addition to organizing regular parent-sharing sessions, members of the PTA also serve as lunch monitors, Saturday extra-curricular activities monitors, and co-organize PTA trips, etc. This allows parents to participate in school affairs and increase the opportunities for communication with the school, thus strengthening parent-child relationships. In addition, the school also organizes Parents' Day and Parents' Evening Meetings for all grades, so that parents and teachers can have close contact with each other and enhance communication.
