The school emphasizes the development of students' biliteracy and trilingualism, and the middle school adopts different MOI arrangements according to students' abilities, with most of the Chinese-medium classes having English extension activities.

In terms of co-curricular activities, the school organizes Language Week every year with diversified activities in Chinese, English and Putonghua, and actively participates in various activities and competitions organized by the Hong Kong Inter-school Speech Festival and the SCOLAR. The school is characterized by strict discipline. The Discipline and Guidance Section has set up a reward and punishment scheme to train students in self-discipline and self-learning. Through the activities organized by different groups under the Student Development Section, we cultivate students' good character and correct values. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
