Founded more than 50 years ago, the school has always been concerned with the whole-person development of its students. The school's ethos is simple and unassuming, emphasizing the development of students' character and helping them to build up their self-esteem and self-confidence.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Junior Secondary students are divided into classes according to their English proficiency and are taught in English, so that they can learn according to their aptitude. In addition to the four core subjects, there are two groups of elective subjects for students to choose from according to their abilities and interests, making learning more effective.
The school has allocated resources for S5 students to enroll in Applied Learning (ApL) courses organized by different organizations, so that they can explore the direction of lifelong learning and careers. The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024.
