Program Planning
The curriculum is based on the principle of "child-centeredness" in accordance with the physical and mental development and interests of the children; it integrates the learning areas of language, individual and group, early mathematics, physical fitness and health, arts, and science. Emphasis is placed on religious and moral formation, language education, and creative thinking.
Individual, group and interactive learning activities are arranged; integrated curriculum and whole-language teaching methods are integrated to encourage children to adapt stories and create children's songs, laying a good foundation for the language; children's English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are strengthened through the English Reading Together program and phonics games; and children's ability to explore and solve problems is cultivated through thematic and experiential learning, initiating the Creative Writing Examination.
Continuous assessment is used throughout the school year to create a "Child Learning Profile" for each child. A "Child Physical and Mental Development and Learning Record Sheet" is compiled according to the different ages of the children, and individual interviews with parents are conducted on a regular basis to discuss plans for improvement of the children's learning.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
