Being the first eight core schools of the Gifted Education Network in Hong Kong, the school has collaborated with the Gifted Education Section of the Education Bureau in organizing a variety of programmes for the gifted. The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers\/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group\/group learning, etc.); organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) on a need basis for the implementation of Putonghua teaching in the school across the board for all grades (i.e., for all classes\/groups). The PTA has been established for 30 years and is well organized.
