From Primary 2 onwards, students are divided into Putonghua-teaching Chinese Language and Cantonese-teaching Chinese Language classes according to their Putonghua proficiency. From Primary 3 onwards, students are divided into English and Mathematics classes according to their English and Mathematics results. Teachers maintain close contact with students and parents to help students overcome learning difficulties and improve their academic standards.<\/p>\n<h3>Placement in classes:<\/h3>\n<p>The principle of class placement is based on the total results of each subject and whether or not the students are enrolled in a Putonghua-teaching Chinese Language (PTH) class. Parents can come to the school to discuss students' learning and living conditions, and the school is willing to provide assistance at any time. Parents' Day is held twice a year, and there are many parent-child seminars, school administration consultation meetings, parent-teacher observation sessions and parent-child trips, etc. to maintain home-school liaison and provide full support to parents.<\/p>\n<h3>Learning and Teaching Strategies :<\/h3>\n<p>The school emphasizes the cultivation of multiple intelligences and the balanced development of students. The School Management Committee donates school buses to the school, and therefore organizes a variety of off-site learning activities to consolidate students' learning experience in different contexts. Outbound learning trips are organized every year to broaden students' horizons through cross-disciplinary learning. We actively develop cross-curricular programs to enhance the vertical coherence and horizontal coverage of the curriculum. E-learning courses are offered in English from P.1 to P.3, while Chinese has participated in the EDB's \"Seed Project\" for many years and has produced a number of Chinese Curriculum Adaptation Books for students' use.<\/p>\n<h3>Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:<\/h3>\n<p>The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers\/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing inclusive campus activities.<\/p>\n<h3>Home school cooperation:<\/h3>\n<p>The school has an open campus where parents can attend morning meetings and contact teachers to talk about their students.
