Through a full range of student counseling activities, spiritual development, life and moral education, growth classes and various activities, the school helps students to develop a positive outlook on life and correct values. The School-based Award Scheme encourages students to challenge themselves and strive for improvement. Students are encouraged to participate in voluntary work and take the initiative to care for the community, giving full play to the spirit of service of love and humility of our school. We attach great importance to the integration of kindergarten and primary school, and arrange kindergarten students to visit our school and organize the \"Primary One Bridging Course\".<\/p>\n<h3>Learning and Teaching Strategies :<\/h3>\n<p>Flexible arrangement of lesson time, implementation of life-wide learning activities and cross-curricular theme-based learning; optimization of classroom teaching by adopting diversified teaching modes and multi-level questioning techniques, focusing on the learning process, making good use of assessment to facilitate learning, and allowing students to construct their own knowledge in order to cultivate their higher-order thinking; continuous promotion of e-learning, gifted education, STEM education, creative arts, and cross-curricular reading activities; teaching of Chinese language in Putonghua for Primary 1 to 3, and Cantonese for Primary 4 to 6; and teaching of Chinese language in Cantonese for Primary 5 to 6, mainly. Chinese is taught in Putonghua from P.1 to P.3 and in Cantonese from P.4 to P.6.<\/p>\n<h3>Life-wide Learning:<\/h3>\n<p>Extra-curricular activities include music, sports, visual arts, computer, academic, hobbies, discipline, and uniformed teams, totaling more than 30 items, in order to cultivate personal interests and develop potentials. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in various competitions, outdoor learning and public education activities both inside and outside the school, so as to provide students with more choices and opportunities to participate, promote personal growth and achieve the cultivation of morality, intelligence, physicality, social skills, aesthetics and spirituality.<\/p>\n<h3>Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:<\/h3>\n<p>In Chinese, English and Mathematics, there are Advanced Placement Programmes and Soaring Groups, which utilize resources to support gifted, less able and SEN students.<\/p>\n<h3>Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:<\/h3>\n<p>The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: after-school Chinese learning support; additional teachers\/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; inclusive school activities; and additional support (e.g., pull-outs\/groups, Pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as needed in the implementation of Putonghua education across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes\/groups). In addition, the school also provides Chinese reading and comprehension enhancement groups for NCS students.<\/p>\n<h3>Home school cooperation:<\/h3>\n<p>We attach great importance to home-school co-operation and have regular tea gatherings to enhance communication.
