The school maintains a biliteracy and trilingualism policy. The school adopts English as the medium of instruction for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students and creates an English-rich environment on campus.

The school's culture is simple and honest, and teachers and students are motivated and close to each other. Through classroom management, the Walk with You program, life education, teacher-student talks, award programs, model student of the month, caring ambassadors, and lunch detention, the school has enhanced communication between teachers and students, established a school culture of love and care, and accompanied students in their growth with the love of Christ.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school is divided into two semesters throughout the year. In order to cater for the uniqueness of our students, we adopt a small class and streaming mode of teaching, whereby some classes are divided into ability groups for Chinese, English and Mathematics subjects. Teachers use a variety of teaching methods, such as collaborative learning, project-based inquiry and e-learning, to enhance teacher-student and student-student interactions, and to develop students' thinking, expression and self-learning skills. Continuous assessment is provided at all levels to facilitate learning and monitor students' progress.
Teachers design teaching activities and assignments through teaching and learning workshops to assess students' learning progress and reflect on the effectiveness of teaching and learning, so as to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning. The school is committed to developing a "school-based curriculum" to meet students' abilities and needs. Teachers work together to design appropriate curricula and assignments, discuss assessment methods and pedagogical approaches through "Teaching and Learning Sessions". Students' learning motivation and effectiveness are enhanced. Flexible timetable arrangement allows senior secondary students to take elective subjects according to their abilities and interests.

Teacher professional training and development:

The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities.

All schools are equipped with air-conditioning and broadband wireless network covering the whole campus. Classrooms are equipped with computers and projectors, and teachers and students are equipped with tablet computers to promote e-learning. In addition to the 24 standard classrooms, there are two Wonder Classrooms, Science Laboratory, Humanities Room, Visual Arts Room, Art Gallery, Music Room, Design and Technology Room, Student Activity Room, and Zhenqiang's Home (Study Room). The newly renovated library allows students to read, study or work in small groups in a comfortable environment. To promote STEAM education*, two new STEAM CENTRE have been established.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
