School Wind:

The school is committed to nurturing students with the qualities of simplicity and humility, not to serve others but to serve others. The "Big Sister Program" helps new Secondary One students to adapt to school life. Class teachers and teachers from the Training and Guidance Section are keen to observe the needs of students and provide timely care to help students overcome challenges and guide them to grow positively.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school encourages students to read more and to develop the spirit of self-learning and co-learning for all-round learning. In recent years, project work and interdisciplinary research studies have been introduced to enhance the quality of teaching and learning and to deepen students' learning experiences. Teachers continue to keep abreast of the latest teaching strategies and techniques through continuous learning. In order to strengthen students' learning ability, the school implements group teaching in three key subjects, namely English, Chinese and Mathematics, at S1 and S2 levels. In addition, each subject has its own curriculum guide, teaching procedures and year-round plan. In recent years, the School has been committed to promoting the integration of knowledge and the development of higher-order learning through cross-subject project learning. Teacher professional training and development:

A Teacher Training and Development Team has been set up to assess teachers' professional development needs and to plan and organize training activities. In addition, teachers attend seminars, workshops or in-service training courses according to their own professional development needs and in line with the School Development Plan.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school has a Multi-Learning Advisory Team comprising the Deputy Head, SENCo, Guidance Officer, Educational Psychologist and teachers with special education training. The SENCo and Educational Psychologist provide training for teachers who need to support students with SEN.
The school flexibly utilizes the Learning Support Grant (LSA) to employ external tutors to support students with learning needs in small groups.
In addition, the school emphasizes home-school cooperation. Apart from distributing Student Support Digests to parents, casework teachers communicate with parents on a regular basis to jointly support students.
The school is the first secondary school in Hong Kong to welcome visually impaired students to bring their guide dogs into the school campus.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, small group learning, etc.); and organizing cultural integration activities. Overall speaking, under the coordination of the Multi-disciplinary Learning Advisory Team and in collaboration with subject teachers, NCS students are provided with assistance in school adaptation and learning needs.

With the opening of our new, fully redeveloped campus at the end of March 2019, we have more space for innovation and change. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
