- English Language Context: Two expatriate English teachers are employed to incorporate the extended learning elements of English into each subject in the junior high school according to the students' abilities. We have an English Funland, where students have the opportunity to utilize their English skills through a variety of English activities.
- English as the medium of instruction. The use of English as the medium of instruction for Mathematics and Science in some S1 classes, and the additional hours of instruction compared to other classes, have been designed to enhance students' confidence and adaptability.
- Fully subsidize students to take international English exams: subsidize all students to take TOEFL Junior, TOEIC. most of the English learning activities are targeted at all students and are free of charge.
- English Drama Training. Language Enhancement Opportunity: To plan a year-round English Drama training program to develop students' interest, appreciation and confidence in English Drama. The Associate Division Head is certified to teach drama to support the middle school English Drama program to enhance students' confidence and opportunities in the use of English.
- Overseas platform: To nurture students with different English proficiency levels, a total of 143 junior high school students were fully subsidized for two years to attend distance learning English group courses taught by overseas English teachers and adopting American leveled readers, focusing on deepening students' reading and writing skills.
- Sister Schools: Sister school visits (Howick College) and video exchanges (Ikeda High School in Tokushima, Japan) create opportunities for students to utilize foreign languages.
- Overseas immersion: Through the Scottish Learning Exchange and the New Zealand Sister School Exchange, we create advanced language learning opportunities for our students.
- Third Language: With more than ten years of experience in organizing junior and senior high school "Japanese language" programs, we cultivate students' awareness and ability to communicate with the world's advanced economies.
Tests and study adaptation measures:
1. Participate in the "Chinese University of Hong Kong Quality School Improvement Scheme" and the "Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority - Quality Assessment Management Accreditation Scheme", and invite curriculum specialists and assessors to visit the school in order to enhance "Learning, Teaching and Assessment". 2. - Overseas Study: For three consecutive years, a total of four middle-level teachers were selected by the Education Bureau (EDB) to go on overseas educational study tours before the i-Journey and the Teacher Innovation Power, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands, with the topics of further study including assessment literacy and curriculum planning.
- CUHK QSIP: We have invited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to participate in the Quality School Improvement Program (QSIP) for four consecutive years to work with teachers of CUHK to enhance the learning and teaching of a wide range of subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics, Liberal Studies and Science).
- Cross-professional collaboration: In response to the needs of different students, the special education team invited educational psychologists, clinical psychologists and speech therapists from the Education Bureau to collaborate with the school's teachers to conduct professional exchanges on learning objectives, teaching methods and lesson design.
- Outstanding Teaching Award in Character Education: 20/21 won the "Outstanding Teaching Award in Character Education" from the Education Bureau and the Winsor Education Foundation, which was the only secondary school to win the "Outstanding Teaching Award" in that term, and the school's overall teaching and learning work was appreciated by the external evaluators. 21/22 won the "My Commitment to Action" award for values education lesson plan design from the Education Bureau.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
- Mainstreaming and Adapting Strategies: To provide appropriate, low-key and holistic support for students with special educational needs (SEN), and to prepare students for eventual successful integration into the mainstream in a transitional manner.
- Adhering to the concept of Multiple Intelligences (MI): The Whole School Approach (WSA) to Integrated Education (IE) has been established for many years.
