School Wind:

As a Jesuit school, the Jesuit philosophy of education is to educate the whole person. Therefore, the school is committed to fostering excellence in its students by enabling them to become competent, committed, empathetic and conscientious. The school's core values include love and care, respect and justice, responsibility, excellence and faith. The school's ethos is one of simplicity, encouraging students to be self-respecting and self-disciplined, and to be self-motivated. In order to achieve this, the school gives students ample space and assistance to make decisions in their studies and activities, and trains them to think independently and solve problems. At the same time, in order to achieve the spirit of integration and "for" and "with" others, the school endeavors to help students become empathetic individuals who understand the needs and feelings of others and make serving others their lifelong mission. The school's Educational Psychologist helps students with learning or social difficulties to grow up healthily. Under the school's nurturing program, students are not only capable of constant reflection, but also know how to respect others and have a strong sense of belonging to the school.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school's mission is to foster lifelong and self-directed learning. Students are encouraged to learn by doing through classroom and activity-based experiences, and to reflect and improve on each experience so that they can make continuous progress. To support students' learning development, the school has set up an Academic Committee and a Curriculum Development Committee to improve curriculum development, promote cross-curricular project learning and cater for learning diversity. In addition, the school's teaching team has completed teacher training and the relevant subjects are taught by specialist teachers who design appropriate assignments and activities for students. In order to meet the trend of social development, the school has implemented project studies and STEM education in the junior secondary school, so that students can utilize their independent learning skills at an early stage and apply what they have learned in their daily lives. The senior secondary curriculum emphasizes the integration of science and literature into the curriculum, so that students can have a broader cognitive perspective to cope with the ever-changing social environment and needs.
At Form I level, library learning classes are organized to enable students to learn how to make good use of library resources for thinking and reading, and to promote learning. In addition, to encourage students to read more after school, reading programs have been set up in Chinese, English and all subjects. In view of the fact that e-learning has become a new form of learning, the school has implemented a BYOD program since Form I. Through the use of ICT, the school aims to develop students' self-learning ability and enhance their e-literacy, problem-solving and communication skills. In order to cater for diversity in learning, the school has implemented gifted education at all levels so as to realize the different potentials of students.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
Parents may refer to the "Handbook on Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places", or visitEducation Bureau(https://www.edb.gov.hk/) or call: 2891 0088 for a list of schools through the Education Bureau's automated telephone enquiry system.
Parents can submit applications in paper form or through the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) e-Platform. Once an application is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, canceled or changed.

Parents are advised to consider two important factors when choosing a school for their children: their children's abilities and the characteristics of the preferred school.

You can communicate with your child's subject teachers to learn more about your child's abilities. For the characteristics of the target school, you may refer to the "Profile of a Secondary School" issued by the Committee on Home-School Co-operation to understand the school's philosophy, language of instruction, religion, class structure, etc. You may also refer to the "School Profile" issued by the Committee on Home-School Co-operation to learn more about the school's philosophy, language, religion and class structure.Visit the school's webpage on this websiteThis is because our information is also collected from theSecondary School OverviewThe school's website and information about the school on the internet, including the schools' Youtube Channels.

We believe that as long as we choose suitable schools according to the abilities of our children, we will make them happy to learn and enjoy going to school, which will be most helpful to their studies.

Parents can only apply for a maximum of two participating secondary schools for their children. Note: Applications for Discretionary Places from more than two secondary schools, whether submitted in paper form or through the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) e-platform, will be considered invalid.
