The school uses the mother tongue as the medium of instruction, and at the same time strives to improve students' English proficiency. The English subject is taught in groups at different levels according to students' abilities, so that students can be taught according to their aptitude; foreign English teachers organize oral English training for students after school. The school's philosophy of educating students with rigor, respect and trust has always been pure and simple, thus establishing a caring, positive, progressive, harmonious and optimistic school culture that enables students to become people of integrity, honesty and commitment. The school has a harmonious teacher-student relationship and emphasizes students' learning and character development, as well as the growth and development of morality, intellect, physique, social skills, aesthetics and spirituality. Learning and Teaching Strategies :
The school's junior secondary school-based curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, emphasizing knowledge, attitude and ability. The school has adjusted its junior secondary school to implement the project-based learning model, so that students can master the basic methods and skills of STEAM research in three years. The school continues to bring in external resources to support the development of learning and teaching initiatives and the curriculum. In order to meet the learning needs of students, learning targets are set for each subject according to the common abilities and independent learning is promoted. In class, questioning, group discussion, e-learning and presentation are utilized to enhance the interactivity of the classroom, with a view to improving the thinking and creative abilities of students.
Teacher professional training and development:
In line with the concerns of schools, we organize different types of professional development activities for teachers in a timely manner, with a view to enhancing their teaching effectiveness and building a teacher culture of mutual appreciation, support and harmony; encourage teachers to actively participate in internal and external exchanges and training courses to enhance their professionalism and broaden their horizons; and participate in the Project WeCan Integrated Support for Quality Education Development Project to provide training for leaders and teachers to enhance students' professional growth and enhance students' learning effectiveness. We also participate in the Project WeCan Quality Education Development and Integration Support Program to train leaders and teachers for professional growth and to promote students' learning effectiveness.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
To implement a Whole School Approach to help students with special needs through multi-disciplinary collaboration for early identification, referral and support of students with different special needs. Dedicated support, counselors and teaching assistants, after-school support group activities are organized to provide academic and examination adjustment, and to enhance support for students' learning, emotional behavior and social communication skills. The Student Support Team communicates with parents on a regular basis to provide speech and occupational therapy services, literacy training, social and self-care skills training for students with special needs.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.
