School-wide language policy:
English is the main medium of instruction in the school (please refer to the information on the subjects offered in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 school years for details). To cater for students' learning diversity, some junior secondary classes are taught in small groups to enhance students' language proficiency. In S1, English Public Speaking is offered and in S2 and S3, English Drama Education is offered. In addition, the Putonghua curriculum is offered in Forms 1 to 3, and the "Biliteracy and Trilingualism" policy is implemented through the Chinese and English Reading Award Scheme, reading lessons, debate competitions, drama competitions, English musicals, Putonghua story-telling competitions, and other activities.
Tests and study adaptation measures:
There are two examinations in each school year and a test week in each semester from S1 to S3. In order to enhance the continuous assessment of students, each subject will make use of weekday assignments, project work, tests and classroom performance as part of the overall assessment of students' academic performance.

The school promotes "whole-person education", which not only focuses on academic achievement, but also cares for the needs of students' growth, emphasizing their attitudes, behaviors, and mental development. In addition, the school is committed to utilizing the strengths of its students, such as the "One Musical Instrument for Each Student" program, speech training and drama training. The school's ethos is simple and the students enjoy learning. Through moral education, civic education and religious activities, students are encouraged to develop spiritually and build up positive values. Through the "Peer Counseling Program", senior students can care for junior students and grow together. In response to students' developmental needs, we actively encourage students to participate in different kinds of student support activities, such as the "Leadership Training Camp", "Catch the Mark", "Little Leaders Training", "Good Mood@School", and "The Way to Greatness Project", to help students overcome difficulties and cultivate perseverance, responsibility, and positive attitudes towards life. In addition to the three resident social workers, there is also an educational psychologist to provide services to students in need. Learning and Teaching Strategies :
The school adopts English as the medium of instruction. The aim of the program is to enhance students' learning motivation and ability to learn, and to develop their self-learning spirit. The curriculum is diversified to cater for the needs and interests of students, and collaborative lesson planning and peer lesson observation are implemented to allow teachers to share their views and experiences on the topics they teach. In addition, the school employs IT technicians and teaching assistants to help promote IT teaching and conduct all-round teaching activities to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
Teacher professional training and development:
The Teacher Development Committee provides training on teaching and learning skills at Teacher Development Days and throughout the year, and arranges peer-to-peer and induction courses for new teachers to help them settle into school life as soon as possible. The school also has a Teacher Training Grant to encourage teachers to participate in further education and training programs.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The Student Support Team of the school implements a comprehensive policy to cater for students with special educational needs. It utilizes manpower and other resources flexibly and arranges for teachers of different learning areas to receive relevant training on a systematic basis. In addition, with the assistance of the counseling team, social workers and educational psychologists, the school further analyzes the situation of individual students with SEN and formulates individual learning plans for them, including after-school remedial classes, socialization training, concentration training and emotion management training. At the same time, the school also provides students with the most appropriate career planning counseling, and makes special arrangements for students' needs, such as arrangements for promotion and repetition, selection of senior secondary school subjects, and the time and venue of internal and public examinations, so that individual students with SEN can receive the most appropriate care.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.
