Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The School has set up a Student Support Unit comprising the Vice Principal of Student Development, Assistant Principal, Special Education Coordinator, Educational Psychologist, Special Education Support Teacher, Counselor and Teaching Assistant. Through the utilization of the Learning Support Grant, a Whole School Approach is adopted to promote integrated education and provide diversified and appropriate support services to cater for different learning needs and enhance students' self-confidence. In addition, the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator of the School has completed a two-year professional training course.
Students can participate in different "drop-in activities" in the Student Support Room to enhance the communication between students, peers and counselors. In terms of professional training, the Unit has strengthened the school-based speech therapy service by providing occupational therapy, clinical psychologist and educational psychologist to provide professional training and assessment for students. In terms of on-site activities, the Unit has organized lunchtime fun learning and growth activities, senior high school revision group, AIMS socialization group, pre-testing revision class and "Tak Ching's Heart". For off-campus activities, they include institutional visits, workplace experience and volunteer activities to broaden students' life experience. For parent education, parent workshops and regular publication of parent education pamphlets are organized to enhance their understanding and support to students.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group learning, etc. on a need basis); and organizing cultural integration activities. For example, orientation activities, festivals and cultural experience activities are organized to enhance students' interest and confidence in learning Chinese language.
