With the school motto of "Hard Work and Virtue", the school develops students' moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic, and emotional qualities through various curricula, extracurricular activities, value education committees, counseling groups, and civic education activities.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school emphasizes on the development of the five education systems of students, and actively nurtures students' self-learning ability, thinking method, social awareness, sense of responsibility and service spirit, so that they can become talents with all-round development. Small class sizes are provided for Chinese, English and Mathematics. The iRead Reading Program, Reading Award Program, Extensive Reading Program, and Reading Sharing Sessions, as well as regular book fairs, are organized to provide students with more opportunities to read extracurricular books. In addition, students are encouraged to read different types of books and online information through project-based learning in various subjects to broaden their horizons.

Teacher professional training and development:

Teacher development days are organized three times a year to enhance teaching effectiveness and quality. To help teachers keep abreast of education trends, the school strategically arranges for them to attend courses offered by the Education Bureau, including training related to the senior secondary curriculum, catering for different learning needs, national security and national education, values education and courses related to STEAM education. In addition, the school's teachers are actively pursuing further studies, with many of them taking master's degree programs.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The School is committed to building an inclusive culture and adopting a Whole School Approach to support students with special educational needs (SEN). Through the use of the Learning Support Grant, students are provided with appropriate and diversified support services to enhance their learning effectiveness and facilitate their integration into school life.
The school's SEN Support Team consists of the Deputy Headteacher, the SENCo, the SEN Support Teacher, the Educational Psychologist, teachers and student counselors.
The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant to employ additional Special Educational Needs Support Teachers and Student Guidance Counselors to cater for learning differences, follow up and understand the needs of students on a regular basis, arrange teachers to take courses related to integrated education, and assist students in planning for further studies and employment. The school also makes flexible use of the grant to procure professional services to cater for the needs of students, such as organizing speech therapy training for students with speech impairment, arranging art therapy courses for students with weaker emotional expression, organizing social groups for students with weaker social skills, anti-bullying groups, etc., as well as organizing seminars to promote inclusive cultural activities.
The school also provides learning and test accommodations for students in need, with the assistance of school-based educational psychologists in assessing and providing support. Individual Learning Plan (ILP) meetings are held to help students formulate concrete and feasible learning plans through multi-disciplinary conversations. The school emphasizes home-school co-operation and has established a regular communication mechanism to discuss and review strategies for supporting students with parents through different channels.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students in Chinese language learning by arranging intensive modes of Chinese language teaching and learning (e.g. pull-out learning, small group learning, etc.), developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials, and organizing cultural integration activities. The School has implemented a Chinese Language curriculum and career planning for NCS students to adapt to school life and integrate into the Hong Kong society, and a specific Chinese Language teacher has been appointed to take charge of the program.

Each classroom is equipped with air-conditioning and IT facilities to facilitate teaching and learning. In order to promote e-learning, our school has implemented BYOD and the use of WIFI-6 network system. Students are able to use computers and tablets in the Innovation and Technology Center and STEM classrooms. The old wing of No. 7 Kennedy Road is 4-storey and the new wing is 7-storey, while the extension of No. 26 Kennedy Road will be opened in 2018. Other facilities include a lecture room, 5 laboratories and preparation rooms, an English corner, a large study room, an art room, a chapel, a concert hall and an instrument room, a new assembly hall with a capacity of 600, an old assembly hall with a capacity of 400, 2 meeting rooms, a social work room, a discipline room, a student activity room, a student union office and various service group rooms, 3 basketball courts, 2 soccer fields and a fitness room. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
