The Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) provides school social work service, and senior teachers form a counseling team to implement a number of counseling programs to enhance students' self-discipline and moral integrity, and to strengthen the caring atmosphere among students and their sense of belonging to the school, such as the "Mentor Teacher Program" for Secondary 1 to 3 students, the "Secondary 2 Training Camp", the "Life Education", the "Teachers' Sharing" morning assembly, and thematic seminars. The Middle School offers the curriculum of a normal grammar school. The senior secondary school offers ten elective subjects in addition to the four core subjects. The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: the school will implement the Second Language Learning Framework for the Chinese Language Curriculum (the Learning Framework) developed by the Education Bureau (EDB) on a need basis to help NCS students overcome the difficulties in learning Chinese as a second language, so as to facilitate their articulation to mainstream Chinese lessons.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
