Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Starting from the 2014-2015 school year, the school has implemented small class teaching, reducing the class size to about 26 students at Secondary 1 and 2 levels. For S.3 to S.6, classes are organized into small groups for Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies. In order to enhance the effectiveness of small class teaching, the existing teaching methodology and special seating arrangements in classrooms are used to create learning groups to facilitate student interaction and learning. With the upgrading of the wireless network infrastructure, the school has implemented flipped classrooms and e-learning strategies to enhance students' learning and language proficiency and to harmonize learning, teaching and assessment.

Teacher professional training and development:

The school is committed to establishing a student-centered core philosophy. Through the implementation of small class teaching, teacher-student and student-student interactions in the classroom are increased to enhance the effectiveness of learning and teaching. Teachers' professional development activities based on the student-centered approach are organized regularly to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school provides the following support measures for students with SEN and low achievers:
-Special Education Support Team co-ordinated by the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and comprising a resource teacher, educational psychologist, two social workers and a teaching assistant.
-Lunchtime tutorials by the Guidance Counselor to support the low achievers in S1 and S2.
-Provides appropriate training for students with special educational needs (SEN), including "socialization training" and "speech therapy service".
-Teachers will take courses on "Special Education" to effectively support students with special educational needs.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, small group learning, etc.); and organizing cultural integration activities.

Other:

Since 2014-2015, the school has implemented "Small Class Teaching" with 5 classes each at S1 and S2 levels, with a class size of 27-28 students. The innovative horseshoe seating pattern is adopted, emphasizing students' interaction and discussion-based learning.
To promote whole-person development, the school arranges students to participate in diversified activities to build up positive values.
The Parent-Teacher Association and the Alumni Association have been very supportive of the school and have become an integral part of the school.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
