Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The main service targets of the Student Support Teams are students with special learning needs and their parents. Through a three-tier support model, the Teams help them to resolve their difficulties and cater for their individual differences, so as to enable students to have a richer and more positive school life and to promote an inclusive school culture.


The Student Support Team, led by the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, is responsible for planning, implementing and reviewing the support for students with SEN. It consists of officers from different growth areas, including guidance, teaching, career planning and discipline, as well as subject panel chairpersons, educational psychologists, school-based speech therapists and social workers. Support measures include casework counseling, group training, assessment and adjustment, and individual learning plan. Case Counseling is where social workers and psychologists make timely appointments to meet with students to understand their situation and needs, and to help them solve their problems; individual and group speech therapy services are provided to support and enhance students' language skills; group training includes social training, study and revision groups, etc. Through diversified group training, students' social skills are enhanced and their academic performance and learning attitudes are improved; and assessment and accommodation refers to the provision of and support for students in need. Adaptation refers to the provision and updating of assessments for students in need. In addition, the team invites parents of students with individual learning plans to meet to discuss and review their individual action plans to enhance support for their students.
We will contact parents on a regular basis to listen to their views and understand the situation of the students, and to discuss more suitable options for them.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: cultural integration activities are organized. A pull-out curriculum is provided for NCS students, with appropriate teaching materials tailor-made for different stages of Chinese language proficiency, including training in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, so as to create an environment for students to read, write, listen and speak more, so as to lay a foundation in Chinese language and adapt to the local culture, and to sit for appropriate public examinations according to their needs in order to obtain the relevant qualifications.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
