Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school adopts a Whole School Approach (WSA) to support students with special educational needs (SEN). The Student Support Team (SST), comprising the SEN Co-ordinator, the IE Support Teacher, the School Social Worker, the Student Guidance Counselor and the Educational Psychologist, is responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of support services for students with SEN, and organizes regular meetings on Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and individual case conferences, as well as multi-disciplinary meetings with subject teachers, parents and students, in order to set up the appropriate support plan for students' learning, homework and tests. We also organize regular ILP meetings and case conferences with subject teachers, parents and students to work out learning, homework and test adaptations, and to help students design specific and feasible support plans.

The school has successfully applied for the "Enhanced School-based Educational Psychology Service", under which an educational psychologist is stationed at the school for 30 days to provide comprehensive case follow-up and intervention services according to the needs of the school and students, and to assist the school in strengthening its preventive and developmental work. The school also utilizes the Learning Support Grant to employ additional manpower, including teaching assistants, graduate teachers and student counselors, and uses the grant to procure appropriate professional services to strengthen the support for students with special educational needs in curriculum adaptation, learning strategies, peer support and after-school learning. We are also committed to building an inclusive culture through different activities to promote students' understanding of and respect for individual differences, so as to enhance students' learning effectiveness and help them integrate into campus life.

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing cultural integration activities.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
