The school's ethos is simple, emphasizing the cultivation of character and spirituality, helping students to develop proper values, and enabling them to achieve balanced development in academics, character, spirituality, and community. Learning and Teaching Strategies :
The school is committed to creating a harmonious and conducive learning environment, and provides students with a diversified and balanced curriculum. Apart from formal classroom learning, the school also organizes activity days to promote life-wide learning and broaden students' horizons. The school implements a student-centered teaching model and adopts diversified teaching strategies. To cater for the learning needs of students, the school has set up advanced classes for Secondary 1 to 3 to enhance the learning ability of students with outstanding academic performance, as well as remedial classes for homework and enrichment classes for Chinese, English and Mathematics. In addition, to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning, Chinese, English and Mathematics are taught in small groups at junior secondary levels, and Chinese and English at Secondary 5 and 6 levels. The School provides additional support to admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities.
