The school focuses on training students to be proficient in both English and Chinese, and students excel in language subjects in an English-rich environment. The school is the only subsidized secondary school for girls in the Northwest New Territories. Since its establishment in 1973, it has a history of 50 years, with a simple school ethos that places equal emphasis on discipline and guidance, and is committed to nurturing the character of its students to enable them to grow up healthily.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Learning is not limited to the classroom. The school's sponsor, Myohoji, provides a rare religious environment for students to learn about mindfulness and self-discipline, as well as to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. The school, Myohoji and other social welfare organizations work together to contribute to the community. The school offers many opportunities for overseas trips, exchange programs, competitions, and foreign language courses that expose students to different cultures and new challenges in society.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
