Middle Schools implement mother-tongue teaching, with English as the medium of instruction (EMI) as the medium of instruction (MOI) for extended activities, and cross-curricular collaboration with Mathematics, Life and Social Studies, Integrated Science, and S.3 Physics to enhance students' exposure to English. At senior secondary level, there are English science classes, with Physics, Mathematics Extension and Mathematics (some classes), and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Music being taught in English (please refer to the information on the subjects offered in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 school years for details).
The school attaches great importance to the learning of English. In recent years, the school has been innovating its curriculum, teaching strategies and subject activities, emphasizing basic training, cultivating students' self-learning habits, and improving their English proficiency in stages. We attach great importance to the professional training of teachers. In order to deepen teachers' understanding of the concepts of self-directed learning and e-learning, and to explore the direction of "One Good Lesson", we have collaborated with The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Quality School Improvement Project to optimize the school-based curriculum and pedagogies, and to design differentiated assignments. In S1, we have set up after-school support classes and a Saturday School to strengthen students' language foundation through the study of English editorials and conversation training. Online reading is emphasized to help students consolidate their self-learning habits. We also organize English Leadership Tours to Singapore and Brunei to enrich students' English learning experience. We have also been training English language ambassadors, who acted as hostesses and mentors to the participating primary school students in the English Poetry Creative Workshop organized by the school. Students actively participate in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, with over 200 students participating in the English and Chinese Speech Program every year, winning numerous awards over the years. Participated in the "Creative Communicators 2021 - From Reading to Writing" Writing Competition and won the Champion of the English Writing Category of the Junior Secondary Schools in the School Sector.

Tests and study adaptation measures:

Two term examinations and two standardized tests are held every year. Emphasis is placed on the assessment of weekday tasks to promote students' continuous learning. Aptitude tests are organized for the three junior secondary subjects of English, Chinese, Mathematics and Chinese Language to identify differences and serve as a reference for adjusting learning and teaching strategies and remedial work, as well as making special examination arrangements for needy students.

Each year, we set a theme for the school and design a school-based curriculum for students to build up their core values and life skills. To co-organize various programmes with the City University of Hong Kong, Department of Health, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong Federation of Women's Organizations and The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong in order to make good use of community resources. Focusing on school-based identity, the school organizes "class-based" and "student-based" activities to internalize proper habits and attitudes, and develops student learning routines for advanced classroom management. A dual class teacher system has been implemented at all levels to strengthen support for the healthy growth of students.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

We emphasize whole-person education and diversified learning experiences. There are two periods of "Group Arts" and two periods of "Activity Lessons" every week for students to engage in a variety of group sports and arts activities in a systematic manner. The school's New Senior Secondary (NSS) curriculum offers a wide range of choices for the optimal development of students with different talents. The school keeps pace with the education reform and is committed to the implementation of student-centered and generic teaching strategies.
The school promotes STEM teaching based on the principles of "breadth", "depth" and "sharpness", and is committed to developing and optimizing the curriculum of Integrated Science, Computer Science, Design and Technology at junior secondary level and Physics at senior secondary level, so as to cultivate the spirit of inquiry and innovation among students. Through the completion of the "Leung's Family STEM Laboratory and Community Eco-Technology Academy", the school has been actively developing subject-based e-learning to promote STEM, organizing STEM research classes, and encouraging students to participate in various kinds of STEM competitions and STEM experience days. We are committed to the development of the Aerospace Leadership Training Program and have purchased flight simulation equipment. Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The School adopts a Whole School Approach to IE and has set up a Student Support Team comprising the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), Special Educational Needs Support Teachers (SENSTs), Guidance Officers (GOVs), Teaching Officers (TOs), Social Workers (SWs), Educational Psychologists (EPSs), and Student Guidance Officers (SGOs). The school flexibly utilizes the Learning Support Grant, together with other resources, to employ additional manpower and procure professional services to provide support to students. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
