The school places great emphasis on character education and has implemented a whole-school disciplinary counseling and mentoring system (dual class teacher system), with the Student Development Team coordinating the disciplinary, counseling, activities, moral and civic education, and career counseling teams to strategically address the needs of students and to provide them with a wide range of alternative learning experiences to support their physical, artistic, life-skills, values, emotional, social, and family development. Students are accompanied by a classroom teacher/tutor for at least three years during their middle and high school years, providing them with a continuum of care and attention.
The school was awarded the "Inspiring Potential Education Schools Honorary Award" by the International Federation for Inspiring Potential Education in 2017 and 2018, and the "Promoting Career Planning" Theme Award of the Hong Kong Christian Service's "2017 Caring School Award Scheme", making it the "Caring School" Honorary School for 12 consecutive years. With the three-year development goal of "Practicing Life Education and Sharing a Healthy Life", the school has set up monthly moral education themes of courtesy, respect, commitment, responsibility, self-discipline, integrity, care, gratitude, optimism and perseverance. Teacher professional training and development:
The school attaches great importance to the professional training of teachers in order to enhance the overall learning and teaching effectiveness of the school. The school has set up a training program for new teachers to enable them to transfer the professionalism that the school has been upholding for many years, and to learn to use different pedagogical methods, so that they can become highly effective teachers as soon as possible. The training includes classroom management, e-learning, cooperative learning, questioning skills, and coaching skills.
In recent years, the school has been actively developing an e-learning platform to enable every teacher to conduct e-learning classes, and has adopted the "Learning Activity Framework" to cater for the diversity of student learning.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
The school is committed to the implementation of integrated education, the establishment of an inclusive culture and the provision of holistic support for students with special learning needs (SEN). The school has set up a Student Support Team comprising the Principal, Deputy Principal, Educational Psychologist, Guidance Counselor, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Head of Chinese Language, Head of English Language and Head of Mathematics. The Learning Support Grant has also been utilized to employ a multi-disciplinary team to provide appropriate support to students in need, including: Integrated Education Instructors, Integrated Education Assistants, outsourced speech therapy and various therapeutic services. In addition, the school provides test accommodations for students in need, such as extra time, use of screen readers, use of voice input, etc.
The school provides assessment, referral and individualized learning plans for students with severe special learning needs, and helps students learn and grow through multi-disciplinary collaboration. The school also organizes different kinds of inclusive activities to promote an inclusive culture on campus, e.g. the "Harmony Ambassador" programme, the Inclusive Culture Week, etc. The school also emphasizes home-school co-operation. In addition, the school attaches importance to home-school co-operation by organizing seminars for parents of students with special educational needs (SEN) and setting up a parent group to provide relevant learning support information and collect parents' opinions, so as to promote communication and co-operation between home and school.

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; organizing cultural integration activities; and employing additional staff and/or procuring additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents.
