Disciplined forces training is emphasized, with the use of foot drill and ceremonial training to cultivate students' obedience and discipline, and to ensure that their behavior and dress are in line with the requirements. Teachers and supervisors are responsible for following up the students' life, studies and behavior, and meet with the students regularly to provide them with comprehensive care. The Special Educational Needs Support Team of the school actively promotes the key policies of Integrated Education and Inclusive Culture in Schools implemented by the Education Bureau.

The School is committed to promoting an inclusive culture and providing appropriate and diversified support services for students with different learning needs through a school-based approach to facilitate their integration into school life. The school's Learning Support Team consists of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, teachers who have received special educational needs training, social workers and educational psychologists.
The school also catered for the learning diversity of its students through curriculum design, diversified teaching strategies, optimized tiered assignments and test accommodations, etc. Different levels of in-school support, such as speech therapy, learning support classes, group/individual tutorials, socialization training, and Individualized Learning Plans, were provided to enhance the learning effectiveness of its students. The school also provides teachers with training courses and information related to "catering for different learning needs" and arranges for them to receive training to ensure the quality of teaching. Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted non-Chinese speaking students to help them learn Chinese by organizing cultural integration activities. The School has received the "Grant to Enhance Support for the Learning and Teaching of Chinese for Non-Chinese Speaking Students" from the Education Bureau to provide appropriate support for NCS students. Teachers adopt a tiered approach to cater for the different learning needs of students, provide after-school support and intensive remedial classes and Applied Learning courses, and arrange for NCS students to sit for appropriate Chinese public examinations.

The school occupies two hectares of land and has, in addition to classrooms, special rooms, integrated science laboratories, computer-assisted learning rooms, workshops, outdoor and indoor sports fields, a library and a drill hall. In addition, there is a water sports center, a pier, and a helicopter landing pad to meet the needs of the curriculum. In order to provide boarding service, the school has air-conditioned dormitories, laundry center, student canteen and central store.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
