The goal is to develop self-discipline, autonomy and active learning. Classroom tutors are available to assist students in developing independent personalities based on in-depth knowledge of the subject. Students are provided with a variety of opportunities to broaden their horizons, stimulate their thinking, and explore the arts and life.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The direction of the curriculum is designed to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills through reading, inquiry and practice, and to enhance their basic creative skills. The school emphasizes independent self-learning and hands-on experience, helping students to connect their subject knowledge with their daily lives, and to embody self-discipline, aesthetic concepts and good basic skills in their creative work, as well as to care about the society and culture. Students can apply for admission to the School at either Secondary 1 or Secondary 4 level. The junior secondary curriculum of the School focuses on learning from the ground up, discovering oneself and the world. The College's education team believes that junior secondary school should emphasize the building of a broad and solid foundation of knowledge, and the cultivation of a wide range of basic humanistic qualities through aesthetic education, in order to become culturally literate citizens. The junior secondary curriculum emphasizes the articulation with the senior secondary curriculum so that students can better adapt to the structure of the senior secondary curriculum. In the first year of the three-year senior secondary academic structure, students will first complete Form 4 Foundation Studies. Upon completion of S4, students will automatically be awarded the Foundation Certificate in Creative Arts (CCA) if they have completed the Chinese Language, English Language, Humanities and Liberal Studies, and the four Creative Professional Orientation Programmes (CPOPs) in order to fulfill the module requirements of the Diploma in Creative Arts (DCA) for the first year of study. In the second year (S5), students are required to specialize in one CPOP and will be streamed to either the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) or the Diploma in Creative Arts (DCA) for the remaining two years of study according to their appropriate mode of study and career plans in consultation with their tutors.

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
