With a simple school ethos, strict discipline, love in the midst of strictness, and equal emphasis on activities and services, we have implemented policies such as the integration of discipline and counseling, and the dual classroom teacher system to promote teacher participation and effectively build a support network for student growth. At the same time, through the implementation of various character development programs, various award programs and student leadership training programs, we build up students' self-esteem and self-confidence to do good and love others.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

To cater for the diversity of students and the need to train knowledge workers for Hong Kong in the 21st century, the school emphasizes training in higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. In terms of pedagogy, the school adopts e-learning materials and a problem-based learning approach to promote students' thinking, reasoning and problem-solving abilities and skills. The foundation of lifelong learning lies in the development of students' ability to acquire and construct knowledge. Theme-based teaching is also used to unify the four major areas of knowledge, skills, attitudes and emotions, and to break the subject-based framework. In addition to English, Mathematics and Science, more elective subjects are added to increase learning interests and diversity, and teachers of different subjects select themes that can be matched for cross-curricular teaching and co-operation. Teachers of different subjects choose to work together on cross-curricular themes that are compatible with their subjects. We also emphasize the transfer of subject knowledge and competencies, and the use of real-life examples (such as disease prevention, war on terror, and economic contraction) to make the learning process more relevant and meaningful. Reading classes are organized every cycle week to promote reading. A newly designed library with a large collection of books to encourage reading. A series of books are arranged for each class to borrow in large quantities. Throughout the year, teachers and students are introduced to good books, author talks, book fairs, etc., and students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as reading and sharing, author talks and book fairs.

Teacher professional training and development:

The School Self-evaluation and Development Committee (SSDC) is responsible for coordinating the professional development of teachers. Apart from encouraging professional development, the SSDC also organizes seminars, alumni exchanges and sharing sessions on a regular basis.

Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:

The school is committed to building an inclusive and caring campus and adopts a Whole School Approach to support students with special educational needs (SEN), providing them with appropriate support to enhance their learning effectiveness. The school's Integrated Education Committee (IEC), which is responsible for coordinating various kinds of support, comprises the Vice Principal, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, teachers and counselors trained in special education, social workers, teaching assistants and educational psychologists. Through multi-disciplinary collaboration, the IEC provides assessments, referrals and ILPs for students with SEN, and provides homework and test accommodations for students in need. At the same time, the school flexibly utilizes the Learning Support Grant to employ additional tutors and teaching assistants, and purchases professional services such as literacy training, speech therapy service and occupational therapy service. The school also arranges interest groups, growth groups and career planning activities for students to realize their potentials, integrate into the campus and give back to the community. The school also emphasizes home-school cooperation by arranging regular gatherings of parent groups and professional seminars by educational psychologists to support students' growth needs.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, small group learning, etc.); and organizing cultural integration activities.
