- Objective: The only English and Chinese Direct Subsidy Scheme secondary school in Hong Kong that aims to promote the teachings of Confucianism, and to establish filial piety as the main value and righteousness as the pillar of morality. In addition to the teaching of knowledge, we pay special attention to the development of students' integrity and emphasize on their introspective ability and sense of responsibility.

The school has always emphasized on students' "biliteracy and trilingualism". Apart from the language subject, the rest of the subjects are taught in English or mother tongue according to the classes, and non-Chinese Chinese language and Chinese history courses are also offered to the needy non-Chinese speaking students.

- Each subject team works on students according to their abilities and specialists follow up with students individually on a one to two basis.

Application for S1 admission:
The school accepts applications for S1 places. The school does not participate in the SSPA central allocation. Academic Achievement 30%; Conduct and Attitude 30%; Interview Performance 30%; Extra-curricular Activities 10%.
Orientation and Healthy Living:
During the summer vacation, the "Secondary 1 Induction Program" will be organized, covering academic, English enrichment, personal growth, interpersonal relationship, extracurricular activities, STEM, etc. It will guide students to understand themselves and others, and at the same time enable them to establish learning partners in an unfamiliar environment and build up a quality learning network, so as to prepare them for the new school year.
At the same time, the school also organizes an eight-week, 24-hour school-based Initiation Program for newly arrived students from the Mainland, which includes learning traditional Chinese characters/Cantonese, basic Chinese, basic English, English for classroom use, communication in English, community awareness, understanding of the local culture, education for daily living, the local education system and progression pathways, and Confucianism, so as to provide newly arrived students from the Mainland with an opportunity to adapt to learning in Hong Kong earlier.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :
- In view of the number of students, we utilize the group teaching mode, with the number of students in each group not exceeding 35, in order to maximize the advantages of small class teaching, thereby enhancing teachers' care for students and enabling students to learn effectively. In both English and Chinese subjects, students are divided into small groups according to their abilities to enhance the effectiveness of teaching.
- The course design is centered on "inquiry-based learning" with questioning skills, hoping that each student will learn to learn, build up lifelong learning abilities and interests, develop their strengths, and find their ideal career paths.
Teacher professional training and development:
The school has an excellent staff team, with many of them having obtained a master's degree or above. Among them, the Discipline Officer, Mr. Chan Shu Chun, has been awarded the "Hong Kong Outstanding Teacher Award", Ms. Lui Wai Yee has been awarded the "Hong Kong Outstanding Social Worker Award", and the Principal, Dr. Yeung Wing Hon, has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the former Director of Education and a Letter of Commendation by the current Vice-President of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Dr. Yeung is also an exemplary lifelong learner, having received two doctoral degrees and three master's degrees, which is highly acclaimed by the education sector.
Whole School Participation Model Integrated Education:
Schools will make use of the Learning Support Grant to provide a wide range of accommodation measures for students with SEN, including teaching adaptation, one-to-one pull-out individual counseling, social training, test adaptation, listening to parents' views and a mechanism for negotiating students' progress.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g., pull-out learning on a need basis, small group learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; organizing cultural integration activities; and employing additional staff and/or purchasing additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents.
