The school mainly adopts English as the medium of instruction (please refer to the subject information of the 2022/23 and 2023/24 school years for details) in order to enhance students' English proficiency and to prepare them for further studies in the future. Through regular assemblies, moral education talks, extra-curricular activities, etc., students are encouraged to be sensible and disciplined, and to practise the school motto to maintain the simplicity of the school ethos. Each subject group implements different activities to realize the concept of a healthy school. The Deputy Class Teachers in S1 and S2 have been set up to strengthen the support for students. The Careers and Education Counseling Section helps students to solve their problems in choosing subjects and pursuing further studies. In addition, the Student Guidance Team and the School Social Worker are fully committed to helping students in need. The school aims to achieve a balanced development of students through different activities and teaching modes. While the junior secondary curriculum is a general education, the new senior secondary curriculum allows students to choose different subjects, providing a diversified combination of subjects to cater for students' different interests and future plans for further studies. Students can access a wide range of books at school and at home through the online reading platform. The school organizes special reading activities to arouse students' interest in reading. Reading materials are available in all subjects to support teaching and learning.

Every year, the school actively assists teachers to improve their teaching strategies and counseling skills, and encourages them to participate in seminars, workshops and experience sharing sessions. The development of the four key projects:
A task force has been set up in the school to co-ordinate the promotion of reading, and the junior secondary school has set up a reading lesson in each cycle week.
