Starting from Secondary 1, the school has been actively enhancing the language proficiency of students by supplementing English extension activities in Mathematics (S1-S3), Science (S1-S2), Physics (S3), Chemistry (S3) and Biology (S3). Students' English proficiency is strengthened through curriculum design, teaching methods and enrichment measures. These include: Tailor-made Courses, Tutorial Classes, Saturday English Classes, Native-speaking English Teachers Scheme, S3-S6 Lunchtime English Conversation Classes, English Day, and so on. In Chinese Language, we emphasize on improving students' writing and speaking skills, such as Writer of the Year, Essay Writing Competition, etc. to meet the needs of the society. The school accepts applications for S1 discretionary places and participates in the Central Allocation of Secondary School Places (CASPA). Thirty percent of the S1 places are allocated by the school on the basis of the applicant's academic performance (40%), interview performance (20%), conduct (20%) and non-academic performance (20%).
