We are committed to mother-tongue teaching, emphasizing "biliteracy and trilingualism" and giving equal emphasis to both Chinese and English. We have increased the number of teaching hours for language subjects and established a Chinese Corner, an English Corner and an English Self-Study Center to create a good language environment and to enhance language proficiency through diversified activities.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school was awarded the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (Science Education Key Learning Area) in 2017. The school has been improving teaching and learning through the Teaching and Learning Initiative (TLI), the Teaching and Learning Organization (TLO), the Peer Observation and Exchange Scheme (POES), and the Teacher Learning Community (TLC). It has also established a Teacher Resource Centre (TRC) to promote mutual exchange and improvement.

To promote self-directed learning among students to enhance their learning effectiveness, apart from the implementation of the "e-Learning" program, we have also established student learning communities and trained students on learning strategies. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
