The school implements mother-tongue teaching and emphasizes basic training in biliteracy and trilingualism to enable students to excel in both Chinese and English, and to develop a good language foundation for future studies and employment. At the junior secondary level, English language teaching materials are used at different levels to cater for the different learning abilities of students. In S1 and S2, English is used as the medium of instruction in all subject classes. In S.3, Chinese Language and English Language are taught in small groups to cater for the less able students, while teaching strategies are developed for the more able students to enhance their learning effectiveness. The school is not only concerned with the teaching of knowledge, but also emphasizes the cultivation of students' emotions. The school culture is simple and honest, and all students are able to abide by the rules and obey the teaching. The Religious, Careers, Discipline, Counseling and Extra-curricular Activities Sections of the school, together with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Social Worker, have organized a number of activities in the school to cultivate self-confidence and a sense of responsibility among the students. The school organizes large-scale activities such as Religious Day, Other Learning Experiences Week, Caring Ambassadors, Senior Team Camp and Peer Leader Camp to train students to be self-disciplined, strong, leaders and role models. Learning and Teaching Strategies :

To emphasize the effectiveness of teaching and learning and to cultivate students' self-learning ability. Students are encouraged to sign a charter to lead a self-disciplined life. Encourage the exchange of subject-based teaching experience among teachers to enhance the quality of teaching. Adoption of long block scheduling to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning as well as the provision of electronic classrooms to facilitate teaching and learning interactions between teachers and students. To meet the needs of the community, different courses (e.g. Junior Secondary Liberal Studies, Business Accounting and Finance, Tourism and Hospitality) were introduced; and the curriculum was cut down at the junior secondary level according to the learning situation of the students. To set up a Reading Promotion Team to plan for the promotion of reading throughout the school and to enhance the reading culture.

Teacher professional training and development:

"Positive Education" has been a major concern of the school in the past three years. The school also arranges teachers to enroll in courses related to IE to enhance their professional competence. In terms of teaching and learning, we also cater for students' learning differences through curriculum design and diversified teaching strategies.

The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing cultural integration activities. The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System consists of two phases: Discretionary Places Allocation (DP) and Central Allocation (CA).
Discretionary places refer to S1 places reserved by schools for self-admission of students. Government, aided and caput secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places not exceeding 30%, while DSS secondary schools are allowed to reserve S1 places exceeding 30%.
The application period for the 2024 Discretionary Places is from January 2 to January 16, 2024. All secondary schools participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (participating secondary schools) will accept applications during the same period. Parents of current Primary 6 students participating in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will receive two copies of the Application Form for Secondary 1 Discretionary Places in early December 2023 through their children's elementary school.
