School Wind:
We are committed to nurturing students to develop self-esteem and self-confidence. The Discipline and Guidance Section works closely with the Religious and Life Education Section to foster a caring school culture. The school also designs school-based life growth programs.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
We emphasize students' love of learning and thinking. Love of learning means that students enjoy learning, and "high participation, more interaction, more demonstration, more feedback" is used as the teaching mode, and students use pre-study, study, and revision as the learning mode. Students will learn by previewing, studying, and reviewing. The emphasis is on cultivating students' love of thinking and their ability to think.
Life-wide Learning:
1. The school has a wide range of activities to enable students to experience different aspects of learning experiences through O.L.E. (Other Learning Experiences) activities, parent-child morning activities and Joyful Friday.
2. The school also arranges visits, variety shows, and competitions for students to broaden their learning experience and cultivate their "love of action" spirit.
Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
Extended courses in Chinese, English and Mathematics are offered from Primary Four to Primary Six.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: additional teachers/teaching assistants are employed to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and inclusive campus activities are organized. Every morning, the teaching assistants will spend half an hour to strengthen NCS students' Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills on a 1-to-1 basis. During tutorials, the teaching assistants will spend half an hour to follow up on homework and copying manuals on a 1-to-1 basis so that parents of NCS students can follow up.
Home school cooperation:
The school recognizes parents as partners of the school. Parents are brought together through the PTA, Parent Academy and Parent Volunteer Corps.
Examples include the Library Parent Volunteer Group, JOYFUL FRIDAY Parent Volunteer Group, and the Professional Photography Parent Volunteer Group.
