Is CCC Kei Chun Primary School good or not?
School Wind:
1. to cultivate students' character and positive thinking through morning assemblies, classroom teachers' lessons, moral and civic education lessons, and integrated lessons.
2. to establish "one person, one service" to cultivate the spirit of service among students; and to incorporate service learning in the school-based curriculum so that students can serve the Tai Kok Tsui District.
3. Leadership training programs to develop student leadership.
Learning and Teaching Strategies :
1. To fully implement small class teaching and adopt cooperative learning mode. Students are encouraged to think more through different levels of questions in the classroom, and "student-student interaction" and "teacher-student interaction" are encouraged to increase students' opportunities to participate in learning.
2. to implement e-learning to develop students' capacity for independent learning, to enhance the flexibility and interactivity of the classroom, and to enhance students' ability to use information technology.
3. to synthesize the contents of different subjects with themes and arrange life-wide learning activities, so that students can learn through activities and construct knowledge.
Life-wide Learning:
Life-wide learning activities such as Outdoor Learning, Sports Day, Travel Day, Art Day, STEAM Day, and Chinese Culture Week. Extracurricular activities include Cub Scouts, Karate, Violin, Ink Painting, Swimming, etc. The school team training includes Stick Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Table Tennis, Artistic Gymnastics, Oriental Dance, Hand Chimes, and Chanting, etc. Through these diversified activities, we allow students to explore their interests and develop their potentials.
Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
We have bridging courses for kindergarten students in the community, including English and STEAM experience courses; English courses for newly arrived students to enhance their interest and ability in learning English; fun and interactive Chinese learning groups for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students to enable them to learn through games and to enhance their interest and ability in learning Chinese; and elite courses for students to develop their potentials and to participate in competitions or performances to accumulate experience; and remedial courses for needy students to strengthen their knowledge base. We also provide remedial classes to strengthen the knowledge base of students in need.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to facilitate their Chinese language learning: employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/cluster learning, etc.); developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; and organizing inclusive campus activities.
Home school cooperation:
1. to promote parent education and establish good communication bridges.
2. Co-organized a seminar for parents to share their experience in nurturing their children with TKT Kei Tsun Tong.
3. Parent volunteers are available to assist students with lunch, student activities, gardening, and school decorations.
