Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/cluster learning, etc. on a need basis); developing school-based Chinese language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; organizing inclusive school activities; employing additional staff and/or purchasing additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/cluster learning) on a need basis in the implementation of universal education across the board for some grades (i.e. all classes/groups, etc.) in the school. The school has also provided additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary for the implementation of Putonghua across the board (i.e. all classes/groups) at some of the school's grades.

Home school cooperation:

Home-school cooperation is promoted through PTAs, Parents' Day, Parent-Child Trips, Parent-Child Learning Classes, Parent-Child Sports Day and Parents' Seminars. Telephone applications and e-circulars are also used to enhance home-school communication.

Environmental Policy:

The school actively promotes green education with an eco-dining hall, a native plant garden, an organic garden with recycling bins, a butterfly garden and a renewable energy pavilion, as well as a school-based environmental protection curriculum for all grades.
