The school adopts a policy of integrating discipline and counseling. Based on the basic principle of "discipline by reason and counseling by perseverance," the school provides students with good guidance and rewards and punishments in an appropriate manner, in order to build up a pure and simple school ethos, cultivate a sense of belonging to the school, understand the rights and responsibilities of individuals in society, care about the society and the motherland, and be a good citizen who serves the community. In addition, in order to train young leaders with leadership skills, the school organizes different training activities for the Discipline and Caring Ambassadors every year, such as the "Discipline Training" and the "Caring Ambassadors Training Activity".

Life-wide Learning:

The school offers 11 gifted and talented training programs, and has service teams such as Cub Scouts, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, Community Youth Corps, and Flag-raising Teams, as well as athletic, singing, and dance teams, wind band, stringed band, rhythmic music, musical theater, acrobatics, magic, rope skipping, dragon and lion team, basketball team, badminton team, ping-pong team, and campus TV, and other interest classes to cater to the diversified learning needs of the students.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

Schools develop school-based curricula according to students' abilities and needs, and provide enrichment or remedial courses to enhance students' learning effectiveness and cater for learning diversity.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; organizing inclusive school activities; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, Pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary in the implementation of Putonghua teaching across the board for some of the grades in the school (i.e., for all classes/groups).

Home school cooperation:

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school was established in 1998 with the aim of fostering closer ties between home and school and establishing a friendly partnership so that students can learn and grow in a healthy and pleasant environment. Parents agree with the school's philosophy and assist the school in volunteering. Through the Parent-Teacher Association, the school plans activities with teachers, such as parent-child trips, parent seminars, parent interest classes, booth games, and so on, in order to provide students with more diversified learning experiences.

Environmental Policy:

The school promotes waste paper recycling and has three-color recycling bins to encourage teachers and students to recycle waste. In addition, the school organizes an Air-Conditioning Free Day every year to teach students how to save energy and care for the earth. Lunch for grades 3-6 is served on-site, and students participate in the "Campus-wide Waste Reduction" program to reduce food waste.
