The school has been awarded the "Caring Campus Honor" for 12 consecutive years and received the Leadership and Inclusion Award of Excellence. The school cares for the developmental needs of students, provides a wide range of support programs, and maintains a close partnership with parents and the community. Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The school-based curriculum uses English as the main medium of instruction and Putonghua as the medium of instruction for Chinese language learning, with practical inquiry learning through project learning and oral presentations.

Life-wide Learning:

The school has many extracurricular activities: wind and string music, a cappella, harmonica, hand bells, percussion, choir, jazz dance, table tennis, rope skipping, track and field, mini-tennis, badminton, basketball, soccer, taekwondo, volleyball, roller skating, boccia, ice hockey, English and Chinese recitation, sight-reading, Cub Scouting, Girl Scouting, student growth groups, French and Japanese classes, English dramas, and computer programming.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

To cater for the different learning needs of Chinese and non-Chinese speaking students, classes are streamed for Chinese Language and streamed for Mathematics according to students' ability.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to its admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning, group/cluster learning, etc. on a need basis); developing school-based Chinese language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; organizing inclusive school activities; employing additional staff and/or procuring additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents; and providing additional support (e.g. pull-out/cluster learning) on a need basis in the implementation of universal education at all levels (i.e. all classes/groups) of the school. The school has also provided additional support (e.g. pull-out/group learning, pinyin teaching materials, etc.) as necessary for the implementation of Putonghua across the board (i.e. in all classes/groups) at all grade levels.

Home school cooperation:

The school opens the morning assembly to parents, and organizes regular parent-child education activities such as Parents' Day, thematic seminars, Talent Show, Tea with the Principal, and workshops to enable parents to keep track of their children's learning progress and to strengthen home-school co-operation and communication. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves as a bridge for parents to build a support network. The school invites parents to be parent volunteers at various school events to support the school's operations and to work together to help their children grow up healthily and happily.
