Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:
Students with different learning needs are provided with homework, dictation, assessment and adaptation to remove barriers to learning. In addition, the Chinese and English Mathematics subjects are often graded, and the Chinese Language subject in Grades 1 to 3 has been added to the Primary Chinese Tiered Support Program curriculum, with the texts slightly deleted.
Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:
The School provides additional support to its admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese language learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; arranging intensive Chinese language teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/small group learning, etc.); developing a school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting teaching materials; organizing inclusive school activities; and employing additional staff and/or purchasing additional translation/interpretation services to facilitate communication with parents.
