Classroom teaching model:

In Primary 1, Chinese Language is taught in Cantonese. From Primary 2 onwards, students are divided into Putonghua-teaching Chinese Language and Cantonese-teaching Chinese Language classes according to their Putonghua proficiency. From Primary 3 onwards, students are divided into English and Mathematics classes according to their English and Mathematics results. Teachers maintain close contact with students and parents to help students overcome learning difficulties and improve their academic standards.

Placement in classes:

The principle of class placement is based on the total results of each subject and whether or not the students are enrolled in a Putonghua-teaching Chinese Language (PTH) class. In English and Mathematics, students are divided into small classes according to their learning ability level, so as to enhance their performance in English and Mathematics.

The school employs a full-time resident social worker. Parents can come to the school to discuss students' learning and living conditions, and the school is willing to provide assistance at any time. Parents' Day is held twice a year, and there are many parent-child seminars, school administration consultation meetings, parent-teacher observation sessions and parent-child trips, etc. to maintain home-school liaison and provide full support to parents.

Learning and Teaching Strategies :

Life-wide Learning:

There are two extracurricular activity periods on Fridays for the entire school to participate in.
Groups, clubs, uniformed groups and school teams are organized after school on weekdays and on Saturdays for students' participation and training.
Instrumental group, Dance group, Martial Arts group, Computer Club, STEM Club, Visual Arts Club, General Studies Club, Drama Group, Athletics, Fencing, Golf, and various ball team training are the most popular among the students.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

Teachers of the school have designed a large number of e-learning materials. E-learning courses are offered in English from P.1 to P.3, while Chinese has participated in the EDB's "Seed Project" for many years and has produced a number of Chinese Curriculum Adaptation Books for students' use.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn Chinese: providing after-school Chinese learning support; employing additional teachers/teaching assistants to support NCS students' Chinese language learning; and organizing inclusive campus activities.

The school has a Parents' Center to facilitate parents' activities at the school.
