Learning and Teaching Strategies :

The School-based Gifted and Talented Training Program (SGTP) has been implemented to create individual gifted and talented profiles for all Primary 1 students to develop their academic and physical potentials, and to arrange for senior primary students to participate in the Education Bureau's Academy for Gifted Education. In addition to the general English curriculum, the school has added the P.1 and P.2 SPACE TOWN reading and writing program, the P.3 PLP reading program, and the P.3 to P.6 school-based writing program. All classes are taught by both the school's English teacher and a foreign English teacher. In addition, diversified activities, such as school visits, Arts and Learning Achievement Day, STEM Day, etc., are arranged to develop students' multiple intelligences. The Chinese Language subject promotes picture book teaching in junior primary schools to increase students' literacy, and teaches students different reading strategies and skills in senior primary schools to enhance their reading and writing skills. In Mathematics, e-learning is implemented to enhance students' problem-solving skills and develop their mathematical sense.

Life-wide Learning:

The school implements "Multi-Sports for Life": school-based music curriculum (flute), ten drums, harmonica, orchestra training program, choir, string orchestra, guzheng, track and field, basketball, soccer, table tennis, dragon and lion dance, visual arts classes, English drama, jazz dance and Latin dance.

Course Tailoring and Adaptation Measures:

Arrange homework adaptation, writing adaptation and individualized learning plan for students with special learning needs. Provide appropriate extra time and paper reading during assessment.

Educational support for non-Chinese speaking students:

The school provides additional support to the admitted NCS students to help them learn the Chinese language by arranging intensive Chinese teaching modes (e.g. pull-out learning on a need basis, group/small group learning, etc.); and organizing inclusive campus activities. Before-school Chinese classes and after-school homework tutorials are organized.

Home school cooperation:

The school has set up a Parent-Teacher Association to maintain communication and cooperation with parents by organizing regular activities such as Parents' Breakfast, Parents' Academy, Parent-Child Trips and Parent-Child Interest Classes, etc. A Parent Volunteer Team has also been set up to assist the school in the implementation of activities.

Environmental Policy:

We have a garden and a butterfly garden, and we participate in "one person, one flower" planting to enhance students' understanding of the "ecology of nature". Students are encouraged to minimize air-conditioning and use two sides of paper, and are equipped with water fountains to enhance their awareness of environmental protection.
