Program Planning
Integrated learning activities are implemented according to the curriculum guide using life-oriented themes, including English and Putonghua lessons taught by expatriate English teachers and Putonghua teachers respectively.
The school recognizes the teaching methods of "Higher Vision", "Project-based Learning" and "Inquiry-based Learning", and develops children's observation, understanding, self-care and problem-solving skills through different learning activities and life experiences in a "child-centered" way.
Assessment reports are available for each teaching module. Teachers can understand children's developmental differences and individual needs through observation, so as to provide appropriate counseling. Continuous observation and assessment are conducted in six areas: Language, Mathematics for Young Children, Individuals and Groups, Nature and Life, Physical Fitness and Health, and Arts and Creativity, and learning development observation reports will be compiled for the students in each semester (the first and the second semester), so as to make the assessment contents of the children more comprehensive. Observation and assessment reports are stored in the children's memory. The observation and assessment reports are stored in the children's learning history files for parents' reference, so that they can understand their children's development and promote children's learning and development at home and at school.
The school will comply with theKindergarten Education Curriculum GuidelinesThe (2017) Planning Curriculum will not require children in nursery classes to write in pen and pencil, nor will they be required to do mechanical transcription or drill-based numeracy exercises.
